Waistcoats are Timeless - With A Lapel

Image
Bespoke Tailors in chiang Mai When it is about lapels, any bespoke waistcoat can feature a lapel. When you want to make a fashion statement, a contrasting cloth such as velvet or satin can be used. A small line of hand stitching can be added to the edge of the lapel. If a jacket is uncomfortable for you, this style is particularly appealing in warm climates. It can even be made with a buttonhole if you intend to wear a flower or lapel pin. You can wear lapel waistcoats to more formal events like parties, dinners and business events.   New Moda Custom Tailors Email us at: tailormoda13@gmail.com Website: https://newmodacustomtailors.com/

Men Suiting Fabrics Part 2

Image
Best Suit Fabrics in Chiang Mai Wool The most popular fabric for suits is wool . Because wool is composed of natural fibers, it breathes exceptionally well for suits. It works well in both warm and chilly regions. A wool suit is the most common option for business dress because of its durability. A wool blazer can be worn semi-casually or business casually with separate slacks, jeans, or chinos. The main benefit of a wool suit is that it may be worn all year round due to its adaptability. Tweed The coarse wool fabric known as tweed is closely associated with Scotland and Ireland. Tweed is made to be worn throughout the year. It is enough warm to wear in the winter, but it is also breathable and water-resistant for days in the spring and fall. Tweed is a multipurpose fabric that comes in a variety of colors, however earthy tones are the most popular. Tweed blazers can be paired with jeans for a semi-casual style or with other types of denim for casual occa...

Guide of Wedding Clothes Part-C (Perfect Fit)

Image
best tailors in chiang mai The tuxedo shirt needs to hug your body effortlessly while allowing you to move comfortably. For perfect chest size, make sure the shirt looks neat and well-fitted. Ideally, the shirt should not leave a lot of fabric billowing out when you tuck it in the pants. If you aren’t able to move freely after tucking the shirt into the pants , then it is too tight. Your shirt should be as slim as possible, without it feeling like it’s about to rip. You need to be able to walk, eat and dance with ease. Additionally, button the shirt up to your neck when you try it. Make sure you can easily insert two fingers between the collar and your neck – if you can’t, the neck is too tight. Similarly, the shirt is too large if there’s some space between the collar and neck. Pay attention to the cuffs to check that the shirt sleeves fit correctly. With your arms hanging down by your sides, the cuff on your sleeves should sit just slightly past the break...

Every component of your tuxedo must look as if it is designed just for you! Just like your tuxedo jacket and pants, the shirt too requires keen attention to detail. Since a shirt enhances your personality, it is vital to get a perfect fit (especially if your jacket is going to be coming off at the end of the night): New Moda Custom Tailors Email us at: tailormoda13@gmail.com Website: https://newmodacustomtailors.com/

Navy Wedding Suit Part A

Image
wedding suits in chiang mai Since I have been doing tailoring (28 years nearly) every year is the same – with the exception of 2021! New Year comes and goes and then I am usually inundated with enquiries for  wedding suits  – whether the client is getting married in March or the following Christmas this is always the  pattern . That year for obvious reasons, grooms held back until there was clarification that  weddings  could go ahead. we now know that they can and so this past 6 weeks, since the announcement, has been absolutely bonkers!   New Moda Custom Tailors Email us at:  tailormoda13@gmail.com Website:  https://newmodacustomtailors.com/

The History of the Waistcoat Part 2

Image
suits in chiang mai Interestingly, it was thought for some time that the name “ waistcoat ” was derived from waste. The fact that garment was originally made from excess material that would otherwise have gone to ‘waste’. This, however, was nonsense. Originally, during the 17th and 18th centuries, the fashion in waistcoat was for highly ornate items in bright colours, but this gradually gave way to a much more informal and even puritanical style in the late 1700s and into the 19th century. Partly this was due to the international influence of the distinctly anti-aristocratic French Revolution in 1789. From 1810, waistcoats became shorter still and a much tighter fit, eventually almost doubling as an undergarment . Increasingly waistcoats were being used cosmetically to streamline the fuller figure. When the corset became popular in the 1820s, waistcoats served to emphasize the fashion for the pinched waist. They often featured whalebone stiffeners of their ow...

Garment In Detail – Bamboo Jacket part 1

Image
best tailors in chiang mai The client is an International Speaker and so all of the above provided me an insight as to what the client wanted, how the garment is to be worn and where it will be worn. Prior to our appointment, I searched through my collection of 2000 fabrics and arrived at what I believed to be the best fabric bunch – Huddersfield Find Worsted Bamboo II Collection. I showed the client 2 more bunches before showing him the Bamboo but as soon as he saw it, he agreed it would be a great choice. Bamboo is a really interesting fabric – having the feel of silk and wearability of wool, this fiber is extremely crease resistant and is cooling to wear in hot climates.   We went through each of the patterns and colour of trousers he owns, working out how versatile each pattern could be. The client feels extremely comfortable in blue and wanted a check to stand out from his usual garments. It was decided that the cloth seen above was the one.   New...

Suiting colours to suit your skin tone - Part 2

Image
custom tailor in chaing mai If you’re a man with a darker complexion, you have a lot of colors that will ultimately look great against your skin tone. Lighter cool tones in grey, blue and pastels really allow you to enhance your summer suiting and contrast against your skin beautifully. Bold and bright checks are your friend and darker cool tones of charcoal grey, forest green and maroon work as well as navy. Colors to stay away from are anything with a yellow-base. Think olive greens, yellow based khaki tones and muted mid based greens as they don’t contrast against your skin and will wash you out. For the man with a lighter complexion, darker tones are your best friend. Look for colors that have a cool base colour as they will pop against your skin tone the best. Dark French navies, gunmetal greys, deep maroons, and purples will work the best. If you are to venture into a lighter palette, ensure there is a dark pattern, pinstripe or check running through the cloth...

The Craft of Premium Custom Buttons Part A

Image
Best tailors in Bangkok   Every particular matters when it comes to bespoke tailoring. And one such element that can significantly alter the general appearance and feel of a suit or shirt is the buttons. Buttons can have a significant impact on the end result, although appearing to be a little part of the overall design. At New Moda Custom Bespoke Tailors , we recognize the value of premium buttons , which is why we provide our customers with a large selection of nut, horn, and mother-of-pearl buttons. The nuts of many different plants, including tagua, corozo, and coconuts, are used to make nut buttons. Corozo nuts, often called tagua nuts, are especially well-liked because of their toughness and distinctive grain patterns created by their natural growth. The nut is removed from its shell, cut into thin rounds, and formed into buttons throughout the production process. The end result is a high-quality button that is attractive and durable. The animal horns use...

5 TIPS TO HELP YOU PURCHASE THE RIGHT SUIT PART-A

Image
suits in chiang mai EVERY MAN NEEDS A SUIT. WHETHER YOU'RE HEADING FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION OR ATTENDING A BUSINESS MEETING, A SUIT OFFERS YOU UNRIVALED FORMALITY—SLEEK AND BOLD, YET VERY SEXY. Unfortunately, many people struggle to find the right suit, let alone one that fits them. They look clunky, messy, and overall just distasteful. With that said, how do you make sure that you find the right suit that fits you perfectly? Here are some tips: Make Sure it Fits One of the most obvious signs that you've bought the wrong suit is that it doesn't fit. There are many ways to tell if a suit fits , but the easiest is to look at the shoulders. If the shoulders look as if you added some extra padding, you need a smaller suit. The ideal outfit would be one where the shoulders will wrap around you snuggly. When purchasing suits, always check in the mirror to make sure it fits correctly. If you've already bought one and the shoulders are too broad, you can still ha...

4 TIPS TO HELP YOU ROCK YOUR WHITE SUIT IN STYLE - PART 1

Image
bets suit in bangkok ONCE IN A WHILE, SOME OF US GET BORED OF ALL THE DARK-COLORED SUITS EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE WEARING. BECAUSE OF THAT, WE THINK TO OURSELVES, "I SHOULD WEAR A WHITE SUIT ." AND WHY NOT? White suits are just as stylish and classical as their black counterparts. They can be worn on any occasion and is sure to leave an impression. However, there are a few tips that you have to follow when it comes to wearing white suits. 1. Wear the Right Shoes Most white suit wearers assume that white shoes are the way to go. They may think like this due to people wearing black shoes when wearing black suits. Unfortunately, a white pair of shoes does not go well with a white outfit. White shoes will make it look like you're wearing a tall boot (and not one that looks nice either). Because of that, rather than pairing your white suit with white shoes, wear something that contrasts the color. Use dark colors instead, like a pair of all-black leather sh...

Image
best tailor in chiang mai ASIDE FROM LOOKING GOOD AND GAINING CONFIDENCE, THOSE WHO DRESS WELL AT WORK INCREASES THEIR CHANCES OF GETTING PROMOTED Here are ten tips that will boost your appearance beyond finding the right suit. 1 Mind your necktie length Wearing a necktie that is either too short or too long is one of the common fashion faux pas when wearing a suit. Choose a tie that stretches until the top of your belt only. Anything longer or shorter will backfire from your appearance. 2 Remove static cling with a dryer Static cling can attract dust to your suit , which makes it look unpleasant. You can prevent this from happening by rubbing a dryer sheet or a crumpled piece of aluminum foil onto the suit to neutralize the static energy. 3 Choose a necktie that is darker than your shirt Select a necktie that has a darker shade than your shirt to create contrast and to make the tie stand out. Choosing a necktie that is lighter than the shirt will make people turn...

How to Wear a suit causally

Image
Best Tailors in Chiang Mai   How to Wear a suit casually THERE ARE MANY REASONS THAT SOME PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE A SUIT.   Some complain that it is too expensive to have one tailored , while others aren't interested in buying one. However, one of the most common reasons that some do not own a suit is because they believe they can't wear it casually. On the contrary, there are just so many kinds of suits that are made for both formal and casual wear. If you're itching to get your hands on a suit that you can wear casually, here are some things to keep in mind: Skip the Suit Jacket When you talk about suits, most will refer to a suit jacket , as that's the one worn most commonly during formal events. However, that is the one type of outfit you want to avoid. Of course, to keep the suit look, you'll still need to wear some form of the jacket over your shirt . You have two options that you can wear instead, and that's either the blazer or a sp...

Italian Textile Excellence

Image
Vitale Barberis Canonico:  350 Years of Italian Textile Excellence The heart of Italian wool production, Biella, is home to the fabric mill Vitale Barberis Canonico. VBC is one of the most well-liked options at New Moda Custom Tailors, and it should come as no surprise given its proven history of over three centuries and reputation for quality, comfort, and character. New Moda Custom Tailors History The Barberis family's first recorded transaction was a sale to the Duke of Savoy in 1663. The duke placed an order for some grey wool, which is still among the company's best-sellers today. Since that time, the Barberis family has continued to operate. After negotiating a contract to supply the military at the end of the following century, the business expanded dramatically. Starting in 1770, the mill began producing more materials for the royal army. While the industrial revolution and the development of electricity erupted, the Barberis family did not hesitate to embrace progre...
